We are pleased to share that Innoleague Technologies India Pvt Ltd is collaborating with the Wool Research Association of India (WRA), Thane, to develop and validate our encapsulated moth-control technology for wool textiles.
The Wool Research Association is India’s premier technical institution for research on wool and wool-blend textiles. With deep capabilities in fibre characterisation, textile processing, functional finish development, and performance testing, WRA is uniquely placed to evaluate innovations intended for the Indian and global wool industry.
Our collaboration brings together Innoleague’s microencapsulation and formulation expertise with WRA’s established testing infrastructure and domain knowledge of wool processing. The joint work encompasses:
Textile application trials : exploring padding parameters, binder concentration, and application weight on 100% wool and wool-blend substrates to optimise the deposition and anchoring of our capsule suspension.
Performance benchmarking : evaluating moth mortality rates (percentage kill and knockdown time) for our encapsulated natural actives across multiple formulation variants, including comparisons with unencapsulated controls and conventional moth-proofing references.
Wash durability assessment : measuring residual protection across wash cycles to build the durability profile required for industry acceptance.
Fibre compatibility evaluation : ensuring our application system does not adversely affect the mechanical properties, handle, or wet-processing behaviour of wool substrates.
India is the world’s sixth-largest wool producer and a significant processor of Merino and crossbred wool for both domestic and export markets. A validated, India-developed moth control technology meeting international performance standards represents a genuine opportunity for the domestic wool finishing industry and for Indian wool on the global stage.
We are grateful to the WRA team for their rigorous, collaborative, and thoroughly professional approach to this work.
More on our international alignment next week.
