At Innoleague Technologies India Pvt Ltd, we are actively engaged in development work to meet the requirements of Woolmark International’s moth resistance standards, with the aim of supporting wool processors and brand partners in achieving Woolmark-certified moth-resistant claims for products finished with our encapsulated technology.
Woolmark’s moth resistance evaluation is based on standardised bioassay protocols that measure the response of Tineola bisselliella larvae to treated wool substrates the same moth species responsible for the majority of commercial wool damage worldwide. Achieving Woolmark-compliant moth resistance requires not just initial efficacy, but demonstrated retention of efficacy through the prescribed number of wash or dry-cleaning cycles.
Our current development programme is generating precisely this performance dataset. The work runs in parallel with our WRA collaboration, with WRA’s independent testing providing the verification layer essential to any credible certification pathway.
Beyond certification, Woolmark alignment matters for a second reason: it signals to global brands and retailers that a technology has been evaluated against a recognised international framework not just laboratory claims from a supplier. In a market where greenwashing scrutiny is acute, verified performance data from a credible third-party framework is a commercial necessity, not a nice-to-have.
We are engaging with wool processors, brand technical teams, and certification consultants across the value chain to shape the pathway to a fully validated, Woolmark-aligned encapsulated moth-protection system.
